Molybdenum Disulfide is the inorganic compound with the formula MoS2. This black crystalline sulfide of molybdenum occurs as the mineral molybdenite. Molybdenum disulfide is the principal ore from which molybdenum metal is extracted. The natural amorphous form is known as the rarer mineral jordi site. MoS2 is less reactive than other transition metal chalcogenides, being unaffected by dilute acids. In its appearance and feel, molybdenum disulfide is similar to graphite. Indeed, like graphite, it is widely used as a solid lubricant because of its low friction properties, sometimes to relatively high temperatures. Molybdenum disulfide is often a component of blends and composites where low friction is sought.


Applications:
  • Grease – Generally greases contain typically 3 percent MoS2 with the critical parameters being surface roughness, load & speed.
  • Pastes – These grease like products contain high levels (50- 70 percent ) of Mos2. Technical grade is typically used because this particle size can satisfy a broader range of requirements.
  • Aerosol sprays & Bonded coatings- Theses products contain up to 80 percent Mos2 and a binder material that can be either organic or inorganic in nature. MIL – Spec coatings invariably use Technical Grade but if the product is in aerosol form Super fine may be required to guard against spray tip clogging.

Properties:

 is used in industrial circulating cool water system of thermal power plant and oil refinery plant. ATMP can decrease scale formation and inhibit corrosion of metal equipment and pipeline. ATMPA can be used as chelating agent in woven and dyeing industries and as metal surface treatment agent.


The solid state of Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid is crystal powder, soluble in water, easily deliquescence, suitable for usage in winter and freezing districts. Because of its high purity, ATMPA can be used in woven & dyeing industries and as metal surface treatment agent.


Usage:

ATMP is usually used together with organophosphoric acid, polycarboxylic acid and salt to built all organic alkaline water treatment agent. Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid can be used in many different circulating cool water systems. The dosage of 1-20mg/l is recommended. As corrosion inhibitor, the dosage of 20-60mg/l is preferred.

Usage
:

DADMAC is mainly used to produce polymers, to synthesize all kinds of macromolecular water treating agents whose functions are neutralization, absorption, flocculation, purification and decoloring, showing excellent effect in decoloring, killing algae and removing organic compounds in wastewater treatment, paper making and textile printing dyeing industry. DADMAC is also used as modifier of synthetic resin to bring products electrical conductivity and antistatic property. It is often used as additive in daily chemicals to improve and modify products' performances. As to petroleum chemicals, DADMAC can be used as flocculant and blocking agent.
